That’s right! Your eyes do not deceive you!
We have another new page up (thanks to our new colorist, Darin Brown!) We also have a new donation image for the month of October — 2009!
Ever wonder how Erika makes her deliveries to the mer kingdom in the lake? Thanks to a magic amulet, you now know!
P.S. For those of you who haven’t checked the Crossworlds forum lately, we have a surprise.
Darin will once again be doing the artwork for Crossworlds at the end of this story! I truly thank all of the artists who helped out during this past time (most notably Brandon Knox, who did the artwork on “Fraz’s Story”, Jimmie Brimstone for his art on “Wyrdstorm” and, of course, Lily Mountjoy for her artwork on “Old Soldiers”.) Make sure to take time to visit Brandon and Lily at their comic — Exiern (www.exiern.com) and Angel of St. Thomas (www.angelofstthomas.com).
Thanks all for your patience. We’re back, baby! Mr. J’s on the rebound!
(That’s what I get for watching “Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker” again…)

A little late due to the madness of the San Diego Comic-Con, but here we go! Crossworlds has officially returned with our new artist!
Special thanks to my good friend John Lotshaw for coloring.
Plans are for Crossworlds to update twice a week.
Thanks for checking in and coming back. The ride is just beginning, so keep arms and legs inside the cart at all times!

March 29th, 2009
This tuesday, March 31, 2009, I turn 42 years old.
Does this mean I’ll know the ultimate question to Life, the Universe, and Everything?
I hope so. I’ve been wondering just what was behind the Duckbilled Platypus!

These words from Mark Twain are certainly applicable here.
There have been a lot of things going on behind the scenes here and hopefully they are all straightening out.
And now we’re coming back. Darin’s on the mend and should be drawing Crossworlds again soon. But there will be some changes.
We’re going to be going to a one-a-week schedule. Hopefully we’ll get back up to our normal schedule, but this will allow our schedules to work.
Plus, we’re going to have a short four page story from guest artist Jimmie Brimstone (who supplied the beautiful picture of Blossom cooking up above).
So, Crossworlds is back and rebuilding it’s strength.
Thank you all for sticking with us.

I know the hiatus was supposed to be only for November. Well, real life does tend to come back and bite you. And in some cases, it bites HARD.
Darin had moved back in November. That move has been rough on him. Unfortunately, he has been having some medical problems which has laid him up for a while as well. It isn’t life threatening, there is a doctor working with him and he is doing better, but it’s a day to day situation.
He did ask me to let everyone know that Crossworlds will be returning as soon as it can, but asks for just a bit of patience from everyone.
Also, because of the unexpected hiatus, I am extending the deadline out for the donation cameos for another two months, starting once the comic restarts. Any donations now WILL be counted into your donation totals. If you need to know what your current total is, please write me at thom@crossworlds.ws.
Thank you for your understanding.

Due to real life, Crossworlds is going to go on hiatus for the month of November. Both Darin and I have been overwhelmed with what is going on in our lives and unfortunately Crossworlds is the one that is going to suffer.
We are going to be back before you know it with the next storyline.
Sorry.

And that ends Crossworlds #2!
This was probably the hardest story yet for me to write, due to the content. So, now we go on to a new chapter with more light hearted stuff like murder, maiming, and blood oaths!
And if our Taurean social workers in panel two look familiar, you may recognize them as Lust and Pride from www.sincomics.com! Thanks to Pip for the loan of two of our favorite Sins!
Next up, the cover to Crossworlds #3!

In the 1930’s, two young men dreamed of a visitor from another planet. A visitor with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men.
They dreamed of Superman.
Jerry Seigel and Jerome “Joe” Shuster created the Man of Tomorrow. And the rest of their lives was difficult due to legal dealings from the National Periodical Publications (the company that was better known as DC Comics).
Now, the Cleveland, Ohio home where Superman was truly born is decrepit and needs extensive repairs. The city of Cleveland doesn’t care. Warner Brothers (the current owners of DC Comics) doesn’t care.
But we should.
Please visit http://community.thewotch.com/index.php?s=&showtopic=3839&view=findpost&p=162664 and help save the birthplace of the modern superhero.

“Money frees you from doing things you dislike. Since I dislike doing nearly everything, money is handy.” — Groucho Marx
A wise man, that Groucho.
You may have noticed the addition of some more advertising up and around Crossworlds. Darin and I are trying to increase the revenue from Crossworlds outside of the donations. (Remember, Darin charges almost $50 for a single figure commission!) With the advertising, it helps bring some of the costs down and allows Darin to continue to do the three comics a week instead of two.
So, please show your thanks by visiting those who help support us.
It is well worth the reward.

No, no… Not for Darin and I reaching one year with Crossworlds, nor passing our 100th page.
I wish to send our congratulations to Chris & Kristin Hazelton (Peacecraft & Third-Child of Misfile — misfile.com) on the birth of their son, Avery Phillip!
Now, something for you all to do: Kristin was diagnosed with preeclampsia and had an emergency caesarean almost one and a half months before her due date. Both Kristin and Baby Avery are still in the hospital (with Avery in the NICU), so I call out to all Crossworlders to give prayers, best wishes, or whatever your religion and/or beliefs may be to the Hazeltons for a speedy and full recovery.
